Manchester City Esports launches first partnership with Turtle Beach

  • Leading gaming accessory brand Turtle Beach becomes first Official Esports & Gaming Headset Partner for Premier League Champions’ esports team.
  • Partnership comes as Manchester City’s esports players prepare to compete in the FIFA eWorld Cup.

Manchester City has announced its first esports partnership with Turtle Beach, a leading gaming headset and audio accessory brand. The new partnership will see all Manchester City esports players using Turtle Beach’s Elite line of professional gaming audio equipment, as well as other Turtle Beach gear and accessories.

This partnership comes as further development to Manchester City’s esports strategy. The Club signed Marcus ‘Marcuzo’ Jorgensen and Kai ‘Deto’ Wollin, current PS4 world champion, in the 2017/18 season, who both compete around the world.

The Turtle Beach range will be worn by the Club’s players for the first time at the FIFA eWorld Cup this month. The competition, hosted at the O2 Arena in London, will see both players represent the Club as they compete amongst the top 32 FIFA players in the world.

Damian Willoughby, Senior Vice President of Partnerships at Manchester City, said:

“We are very excited to form this partnership with Turtle Beach as the Club expands its esports strategy. Both Marcus and Kai are at the top of their game and watching them compete throughout the season has been great, culminating in their qualification to the FIFA eWorld Cup.

We are looking forward to working with Turtle Beach, and their high-quality equipment, to enhance gaming experiences for our players.”

Juergen Stark, CEO of Turtle Beach Corporation, said:

“No matter what the game, competitive play is about total immersion, and this is what the Manchester City players can expect from our Elite Pro series. Manchester City is a truly global brand and while their esports endeavours are just beginning, we’re thrilled to be able to embark on the journey with them and to help them achieve even more success both on the virtual pitch and off.”
