Visitors to this years MLB London can enjoy a host of authentic US Baseball favourites including the legendary ‘Boomstick’ an awesome 2ft-long hot dog and Boomtown Nachos, served with pulled pork, fresh chillies and squeezy cheese. The legendary Boomstick was invented by Delaware North chef Chris Vasquez at the Globe Life Stadium in Texas. It’s now a staple of the MLB experience across the US.
All this legendary food needs shouting about! So we’re are also bringing over one of our most experienced Hawkers, to train the UK team how to sell at seat-side, just like we do at the Met Life Stadium in NY. BADA BING!
Cristobal Vazquez is the executive chef at Globe Life Park for the Texas Rangers, and the man who invented the 2ft Boomstick. Chef Chris has been satisfying Texas Rangers fans’ taste buds since 2006. This characterful Chef is in the UK from 24th June and available for interviews if you want to hear anything straight from the big-hitter’s mouth!
London Stadium’s Executive Head Chef, Gary Foakes, has worked alongside Albert & Michel (snr) Roux, Anton Edelmann, Anton Mosimann and Raymond Blanc. Gary is a highly skilled and experienced chef who has cooked for the Queen on three separate occasions and is now leading the culinary team catering for the UK’s first ever MLB series.
